General Discussion
When I helped set up Healthy Gay Manchester, in the 90's, I did because there was very little realistic information or advice about HIV Aids for gay men in Manchester. Our goal was to find out what gay men actually needed, not the anodyne, prudish crap that health promotion agencies were turning out, but rather sex positive affirming materials.
We did that by asking what gay men wanted.
I've set up this website because I couldn't find any realistic, body affirming, health advice for bigger gay guys. I've started from my own particular perspective, as someone who found himself at the wrong end of a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis and getting conflicting information and advice about what to do with it.
Maybe the bear community doesn't need a site like this? Maybe it's focus is too narrow? Maybe there needs to be more in it about how our community works and how we can better support each other?
I need you guys to tell me.
